Nil Living
Nil Living was founded by Lucy Ritson from Fenham. “In 2019 during a weekend away I stumbled across a zero waste store and quickly began evaluating my habits. I founded Nil Living to give everyone the choice of a sustainable lifestyle, an ethical, budget friendly and easy shopping all in one place without plastic.”
Being life as pop up market stall at the Quayside and Tynemouth Market in July 2019 Nil Living quickly expanded with support from the city and encouragement from Newcastle Council. Nil Living won the NMFT Young Trader of the Year (2019) in the retail category and was the overall winner in the region and went on to represent the North East at the Young Trader Awards in Statford.
Nil Living opened it's doors in the Grainger Market in September 2019 and is thriving among the local traders and market family.
